Not only did I buy The Sound of Music DVD from http://www.kalahari.net/ the other day along with Muppets from Space for the kids, I came across this video on Jeanette's Blog and it made my day watching it.
The Video was made in March this year in the middel of Antwerp Station as a promotion to find the lead for their up-and-coming musical. With only 2 rehersals and 200 dancers - they popped out of nowhere to dance to the famous Do Re Mi
Its awesome love it when the music changes...I can't wait to watch the film again.

Furzday Flu
Och its terrible to be stuck feeling like dogcrap under your dismal duvet at home when you could be out in the gorgeous South African sunshine enjoying the sun beams on your skin and soaking up the newly arrived summer.
The flu whacked me across the head like a plank yesterday. I couldn't focus at work, I kept resting my head down on my arms on my desk, I had a headache from hell and my back was on hell-fire.
I dragged myself off to Dr Frik (our family GP) last night to be told that I had the dreaded summer flu and ear-infection. (That explains the constant humming and falling about like a drunkard). I climbed into bed early last night glugging down my antibiotic (which looks like a horse pill) with two Compral and a med lemon.
Kaylin was also up during the night coughing and calling for or me. At 1am I climbed into the spare bed (which we still had up for my mum's visit) with a feverish and grumpy KK. I managed to break her fever by 3am this morning with 10mls of Calpol and a taking off her winter jammies and sponging her down with a damp cool face cloth.
But man do kids bounce back quickly but this morning she was jumping around in full Kaylin fashion asking to go to school to see her friends and play with them. So, I sent her to school with her cough medicine and all morning I've been waiting for the phone call to tell me to collect her - but nothing as yet. Wish I was a 3 year old again...
So here I lay unable to get up from the couch (everytime I stand up I'm dizzy and disoriented, I feel nausious and need to lay down again) I have read the latest marie claire cover to cover and have started folllowing a sweet little blog called www.whatkatiewore.com which was essentially started by Katie's boyfriend Joe Sinclair who promised to get more romantic and take a picture of Katie everyday for a year never wearing the same outfit. It has been going for 9 months already and they've been doing fabulously. Its blossomed into local discount designer clothing stores and charity shops sending her stuff to wear and post pix on the blog.
Check it out if you're a dedicated follower of fashion. She's got such a great sense of style and she's dead cute and he has some kewt stuff to say...

Under the Weather
Feeling grotty today...it all started yesterday when I had a fever at work. Someone mentioned how rosey and shiney my cheeks were which made me realise I really didn't feel too great. Got in bed early last night after being VERY grumpy with everyone. I took a Med Lemon and a Compral and slept on and off all night.
Today I have a runny nose, dull sinus headache with bachache and so sleepy. I came to work nevertheless - not to get a Noddy Badge, but I know when I'm away no one else does my work so it just piles up. No sense being at home either...Riaan is also not feeling well so he stayed at home.
Will take it easy today and perhaps head home early...

Happy Spring Day
Its the first Spring Day in years thats actually worked out that its warm and sunny. Normally its overcast, windy and freezing cold. Its going to be a scorcher of a summer - thats just my weather prediction...
I popped out this morning to go and watch Castillian Junior College's Miss and Miss and Master Spring Day. It was a cute little performance with all the girls going down the ramp first twirling and curtseying in their pretty summer frocks, bows in their hair and glittery sparkles everywhere. The boys followed showing their muscles and other butch, kewl poses.
In true "Megan Form" she refused to strut down the runway but I didn't mind - its all her choice whether she wants to do these things or not. And being a tomboy she's really not into these things. I just like to be there to support her.
The teachers felt a little sorry for me that I'd come all the way and Megan didn't want to get up on stage. I told them that I wasn't bothered by it - that its really whatever Megan wants...
Next thing I heard the entire school chanting Megan's name. Its awesome to hear almost 100 children chanting your wee girls name. She eventually gave into the peer pressure and got up on the stage in her Ben 10 t-shirt and frayed shorts and did a twirl. She dazzled us with a swish of her red hair and her beaming smile. She was so embarrassed but enjoyed everyone chanting her name nevertheless. Who wouldn't?!.
The crowned the winners and then it was off to play on the 4 slip 'n slides and gladiator inflatables.
